Celebrate
Everyone only has one birth day which is the day you were born. Year after year, many people celebrate this date annually. Hence, the yearly HAPPY BIRTHDAY celebration is anticipated and enjoyed by most. On consideration, are we not only celebrating our journey; marking our age with friends and family. Do we have to celebrate? Does the recognition of the day you were born merit a celebration? Or is it just an excuse to get together and do whatever with a symbol: THE BIRTHDAY CAKE. Of course the expectation is that all in your circle are to give gifts and a sentimental card to mark the occasion.
I submit then, if we must have a celebration, should it not be called HAPPY JOURNEY or HAPPY MILESTONE DAY. Some of us are lucky enough to be here year after year to mark our age, according to the Gregorian Calendar. In the end, we are celebrating our progression to when we leave earth. Then when we leave this earth, some of us are the subject of a CELEBRATION OF LIFE.
Well, what is to be concluded from this. We celebrate Birthdays and Celebrations of Life; one is to mark our milestones and the other to account for our journey. Both make it official.
